Tom Cochrane & Red Rider
Friday, September 14
After Iconic musician Tom Cochrane’s early beginnings as a folk-based singer/songwriter playing the coffeehouses of Toronto’s famed Yorkville scene in the early ’70s, Tom became the driving force with the adventurous rockers Red Rider prior to achieving massive international success (over 3 million units world wide and rare diamond-sales status at home) with the breakthrough 1991 album Mad Mad World and its anthemic hit Life Is A Highway, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! With his other recordings combined he has sold over 6 million world wide. Over the course of this long and illustrious career, now spanning more than 40 years, the pride of Lynn Lake, Manitoba has covered more terrain than the Franklin expedition.
He has continued to create potent new material (5 more recordings and several separate single releases since Mad Mad World ) while cementing his place in the hearts of Canadians through passionate crowd-pleasing performances from coast to coast and his unwavering work on behalf of humanitarian causes and organizations. An Officer of the Order of Canada recipient and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, Cochrane has won eight Juno awards and numerous other industry honours, including the 2013 Allan Waters Humanitarian Award and a Grammy nomination.

“I need to be able to engage people; that’s where I flourish.” – Jake Clemons
There’s the hair, then there are the glasses, but ultimately there is a person who is a magnet for positive energy, emotion, and creating stories. While he feels a deep connection to his past – Jake Clemons continues to make a deep connection in the present by living life to it’s fullest through a musical journey. If you take the mysterious, rugged side of Johnny Cash and mix it with the soulful down to earth love child of Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons – shaken not stirred of course – you end up with the unique and talented Jake Clemons. He plays the guitar, sax, piano, and drums, he writes music, he sings, he loves rock ‘n roll!

Randy Bachman stands in rarified air as a member of a very exclusive club of recording artists who topped the charts with two different bands: “American Woman” with The Guess Who and “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” as leader and singer with Bachman‐Turner Overdrive. It’s a club with precious few members. In a career spanning five decades and earning a staggering 120 platinum, gold and silver record awards, Randy’s record sales figures exceed 40 million. His distinctive brand of no‐holds‐barred, guitar‐driven rock is instantly recognizable worldwide. As host of the top‐rated CBC and Sirius XM radio program Randy Bachman’s Vinyl Tap, his listeners worldwide number in the millions each week, earning him the title as Canada’s favourite storyteller.
Now, in addition to his ever‐popular songs and the stories behind them, Randy brings to the stage an exciting production honouring the remarkable musical legacy of early mentor, hero and inspiration, Beatles guitarist/songwriter George Harrison. From one master musician to another, Randy offers his own uniquely personal interpretations of Harrison’s best‐known songs in an extraordinary concert experience that you won’t want to miss.

Canadian rock icon Kim Mitchell sings those lines on his personal mission statement, “Rock N Roll Duty” and he’s still doing exactly that, energy and enthusiasm intact. For Mitchell, that’s what it’s all about, not the money, the fame or the trophy case. Singer-songwriter and guitarist, Kim Mitchell, has achieved gold and multiplatinum sales status over a long and storied career, starting early on as leader of the musically eclectic Max Webster, Kim’s first full length solo recording post Max Webster, a record which introduced us to Kim’s big, bold and endemic guitar driven sounds in songs like “Go For Soda” and the anthemic “All We Are”.
Along the way he won three Juno Awards for “Most Promising Male Vocalist of the Year”, “Album of the Year” and “Male Vocalist of the Year”. Mitchell has the respect of peers, fans, and industry types alike. Just what does he consider his greatest achievement? “Shoot, that’s easy,” says Kim, “it’s in the couple of hours the band is onstage, being able to take people to a special place through our performance and music. When that happens, I’ve accomplished what I set out to do.” Legions of Canadian fans agree!
